Master Thesis Idea

The life span of a Solar Module is generally defined to around 30 years. However, that doesn't mean that the module is useless after 30 years. It just means that the efficiency of the modules has dropped to somewhere between 70-80% of its original efficiency.

It might be that the module is not suitable for Nordic conditions anymore. But maybe there are other markets where the module could get a second life.

Our thesis idea is to investigate the aging of solar modules from a technical and commercial perspective and to dive deep into the end-of-life definition of solar modules as well as the possible business opportunity in second-hand solar modules in other parts of the world.

Master Thesis at HPSolartech

When you write your thesis together with us at HPSolartech we provide you with a supervisor from our staff. You are responsible for managing your own work and mainly drive your own progress but you also get the support you need from us.

We provide you with a desk at one of our offices where you can work but you can do most of the work remote.

If your thesis require specific equipment, travels or other expenses we discuss that and cover costs as agreed.

At the end of your thesis, provided that you pass :), we pay you a onetime compensation of 25 000 SEK.
